Graduating with Diplomas in Animal Care

Both Karen and Jennifer hold diplomas in Animal Care from Bray Institute of Further Education where they graduated with distinction.  They hold an Advanced Certificate in Dog Grooming awarded by City & Guilds (Level 3) and an Advanced Certificate in Dog Grooming from FETAC (Level 5).   They have also studied canine first aid, animal behaviour and dog training.  Both are huge animal lovers and are mad about dogs with Karen owning two dogs and Jen three!  We are a fully insured and registered business.

About Us

The Dog Salon is a dog grooming salon that caters for all breeds of dog.  We offer a quality service at competitive prices.  We use all natural shampoos specially designed for different coat types.   Dogs are thoroughly groomed out, properly bathed and dried, toe nails cut to the correct length, ears plucked and cleaned and  coats scissored and/or clipped to the breed specification  and the requirements of the owner.

The Dog Salon offers your pooch a relaxing warm towel massage after bathing to relax and soothe before grooming/clipping  begins which helps settle or alleviate stress associated by some dogs with a trip to the groomers.  At all times, will the comfort of your dog be catered for and quality treatment and time will be given to all.   Our salon offers a friendly, inviting and relaxing environment.
